It looks like one of our Glendale counterparts has found out they have gotten in by checking their online.midwestern.edu account in the "matriculation/payment" section...


So I guess we can find out if we have gotten in via the website.....

I've been checking the website once every 3 hours, but haven't seen a "Congratulation" yet.

If past history has anything to tell us, letters were mailed on 11/7 and the earliest post from last year of an interact account (I'm not really sure why we call it this - I can't find the word anywhere at online.midwestern.edu) was on 11/8.

These people interviewed on Oct 15 and it seems like that was the first interview group last year.

Yeah I was wondering why people called it Interact too. I thought I was just out of the loop or something...

Then, the first group that got interviewed last year only waited 3 weeks?

"Online will be down for planned maintenance from Friday 5:30 CST through Sunday evening."


Do you think this could be to put our acceptances into the system? I hope not. I want to see it sooner than that!

My interact account is also showing this message. I suppose we are not going to receive anything in the mail this week then.

Out of the 75 people who already interviewed, we're like the selected few who is obsessing over this. (Enough to post on SDN, anyway). I hope this extra energy expended will bring good news to us all. 😎

But then again, I don't think they would want to spend their weekend doing this for us. 🙄
 
I don't think they have to close down the site just to update our status. It's not that complicated, is it? I think we're just overanalyzing. Let's continue to stalk the mailman. :laugh:
 
This is what I think: they like to send out all the acceptance letters before they change Interact. If they close down the system on this Friday to change Interact, then we are supposed to receive the letter before Friday. I called the admission today, the lady said to me that she thinks they have sent out the letters. I do not know how many, but they did send out Letters.

Haha...it's such a tease that she said "she thinks"


I do not believe that they'll be shutting down the site simply to update the website with acceptance information. The glendale student who saw a chance in their interact saw it when it was fully functional for the rest of us.

Also...if I were the head of the school....I'd be extremely upset with the tech department if it took 2 full days of downtime to do something as simple as update a website.....

Not sure what else is a possible situation in terms of when we'll find out.


I guess the fact of how we'll find out will depend on 1....how long it takes for USPS to get mail to our house....and 2...how long it takes the tech people to upload the info to the website?


I'm hoping that there are diligent and merciful tech people working on the website.


Or perhaps new super awesoe USPS technology that can blast a letter all the way from Chicago to Southern California at lightspeed....


Either would be quite stress relieving...
 
I don't think they would shut down interact just to update admission status either. I just thought I would throw it out there to generate some speculation and discussion.

What is a bummer is that if we do receive an admission letter this week, we most likely will be unable to view the matriculation agreement or make the payment to hold our seats for the Class of 2013. If I am accepted, I will want to take care of all the paper work ASAP.

Haha...no worries...I think we get a total of 2 weeks to click "pay now" after receiving the letter.

Maybe if all of us who are actively participating in this thread get accepted, we could petition Midwestern to place us in the same workshop group! That would be cool!

Yea, we all would make a good group with our over-analyzing critical thinking skill. :laugh:
 
The admission counselor at my interview said the decision would be mailed. She did not say anything about the interact account or email being updated as to one's status. However, one can never know for sure...With that said, 5 minute's argument seems to make the most sense. The letters will probably arrive this week and the interact account status will then be updated next week.

So it's been exactly 5 weeks after the Oct. 1st interview. I can't wait any longer!😴
 
Didn't they say we'll find out in 4-5 weeks? They liiied to us. 😛

If they had already sent out the letters, then you should have received the letter by now since you're from the Chicago area.

Just Midwestern so far, but I have another one coming up for UH-Hilo on December 5 in Las Vegas. And you?
 
Just a random thought...



What if they were really doing software changes to the website...say..a new look to it. Imagine how many of us would be heartbroken to sign on...notice the change...and then later realize that it simply was just a new look. :laugh:

Just to ease all your minds...this e-mail was sent out to student's yesterday and it affects all of us too 🙁


"The https://online.midwestern.edu site will be unavailable this weekend so we can migrate the system to a new server. The current Online MWU server has been in place for the past five years and we are now migrating to a much faster system with newer technology to better meet the current and future needs of the university.



The planned outage will begin Friday at 5:30 PM CST/4:30 PM MST. The system will remain down until all of the data can be migrated and be back up by Sunday, November 9. A message explaining that the system is unavailable will be posted to https://online.midwestern.edu during the outage.



Please note that this planned maintenance does not affect email, Blackboard, MEMS, or any other university systems and those systems will continue to be available throughout the weekend. "

Hi everyone,

I contacted the admissions office, and they said that the letters were sent out a couple of days ago.
 
i just called the admission, and the person that I talke with is not aware of school sent acceptance Letter. I was like What!!! So which is true? Did they send or not send yet?

Here is what the email said:

Letters have been sent out over the past couple of days for the Pharm.D Program.

I am confused as well?

So I'm assuming people from Illinoise should have already received their letters? I'm from Cali so it's gonna take a few days..

I haven't received anything yet, and I live 45 minutes from Downers Grove.
 
I'm from the Chicago area, and have not received a letter.
