Hey All,

So after being rejected from Midwestern's dental program, they sent me an email giving me the opportunity to transfer my dental application into their MA, MS or clinical psych programs.

On the application, they ask you to write a paragraph on "why do you wish to transfer your application to the program indicated above?" I'm thinking of applying to their MA program as an academic enhancer. However, how am I suppose to answer that question? Should I just be straightforward with them, stating that I intend to use the opportunity as a records enhancer hoping to boost my chances of being accepted into dental school?

Anyone have any input it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I was sent this after being rejected from their medical school. I figured I would transfer the application to the MA in Biomedical science. Why not right? I would like to get something out of this application cycle. I just told them I want to attend the program as an academic boost to prove I have what it takes to be an excellent medical student and eventually a doctor. I made it a point that my interest was to get into their medical school. You could write something like that.

Thanks, I figured it would be best just to be straight with them. I just didn't want to sound too blunt. If you don't mind me asking, how long was your reply? I don't what to give them anything too long or too short. Thanks again!

Straight forward is best. It shows honest maturity. It also doesn't hurt to let them know you are interested in their program because you think it is a good pathway to medical school.
