well u'll definitely b glad to see my stats... my gpa is embarrassing.

- gpa ~3.0 for science and overall..but have done a lot better in the last year
- PCAT 86 composite
- Will be getting my bachelor in Biology in the spring
- pharmacy clerk experience for almost 3 yrs
- hospital data entry for almost 3 yrs
- 1 yr volunteering in a hospital clinic
- various other leadership activities from a few years ago
- (i believe) great LORs, since I have great relationship w/ all ex-bosses

Hey Shannee,
I agree with enzymatic, it's definitely good to keep your options opened. I've gone to Touro and Shenandoah for their interviews and I don't regret it at all. It's good to visit different campuses, meet the faculty and find out what their program's like. It'll help you to ultimately choose the school that is best for you. I think you should apply to schools that you really want to get into, and attend their interviews. Just be happy it won't be as stressful of a process now that you know you got into a midwestern 🙂

Shannee, I'm in the same situation too. I already turned down 2 other interviews because I felt MWU would be a better choice for myself. I think I made the right choice but I have no way of knowing for sure.. I'm trying to push myself to finish the last 2 supps.. Buuut with school and work (AND knowing that I've already been accepted to a school), it's pretty hard. Haha.

Lau70 went on another interview after MWU's so he could probably offer better insight on interviewing at multiple schools. 😛

I interviewed at South University in Savannah, Georgia and immediately knew that it was not the right place for me to be. I think that going to the other school made me appreciate what MWU-CPG had to offer. If I were in your position, I would place the deposit and keep your options open. That way you can choose the school that is a better fit for you.

I know that a few of us who have already been accepted are still trying to get into our other top choices. Personally, If I were accepted to my top choice school (which shall remain nameless), I wouldn't be able to decide between that school and MWU until the last minute.

no i haven't received any snail mail.... i believe interact now chnaged first for everybody that was accepted.

it's hard to say what happened to your decision unless you call them directly. Which date did you interview btw?

Deposit due 2-3 weeks from date of acceptance...NOT date you receive your snail mail. So most likely it will be 1-2 weeks from the date you receive your official hard copy notification.

I'm looking to be holding out to make the $1000 deposit as long as possible. U of Minnesota is supposed have their decisions mailed on or before Nov. 7th. Since we found out we were accepted to MWU-CPG Oct 29th this should put me well within the 3 week time frame...that is if it doesn't take a couple weeks for U of MN's letter to get to me...you never know what the Postal Service can do to sidetrack your mail.

Still...I'm extremely excited knowing we're in...every once in awhile I think about it and just smile...people around me must think I'm crazy!

I will wait at least another week or so and hope I've heard from Minnesota by then...if I haven't I will call and explain the situation and hopefully they will let me know if I'm in or not. If they want their money I'm sure they'll let me know if I've been admitted! And they all want their money!

Sure did! I was in the morning group as well! lol i felt like a ***** at the CPG interview too... the interviewer came out to get us and i dropped all my paper on the floor and i was bending over and picking it up like some ditz (hopefully that guy wasn't checking me out..ugh)! i definitely felt like i've had better interview days but somehow i got in! anyways i don't think u should gamble w/ not paying deposit... 1grand isn't THAT expensive in the grand scheme of things...

I just got mine today, and suffice it to say it left me a bit confused. First off, where is this "enclosed Matriculation Agreement" we are supposed to sign and send back? The letter says "Two copies of the matriculation agreement are provided along with the technical standards form." Really? They must just be invisible, because I'm not seeing them.

So then I look at the one other piece of paper in the envelope, and it says "To make the offer of acceptance official, you must submit your matriculation agreement and deposit by the deadline date stated in the enclosed acceptance letter. In order to make this easier for you, all of our accepted students must submit their matriculation agreement and deposit online using our secure website." I followed the step by step instructions, but after logging in to online.midwestern.edu and entering my password and log-in there is no link saying "Matriculation/Deposit"....just a screen where students (or their parents or spouses) can pay for tuition or get a new id card, etc.

To sum it up, when I click on "Accepted Student Checklist" under my Interact Now account it doesn't seem to get me anywhere, even with the login and password they gave me. Are any other new acceptees experiencing this problem, or any sort of problems with this whole process?

Also, I emailed my advisor to find out why I have 3hrs Calculus and 3hrs Economics under my 'prereqs you need to complete' secton when I detailed both classes on my PharmCas application and I earned A's in both of them. The Calc class was a 5 credit Calculus I class and it was Microecon (Markets and Resource Allocation).

I knew pharmacy school was going to be tough, but already!🙄

I ran into some problems with MWU's online site too. I called a couple of weeks ago (and after being transferred 4-5x to different people) and found out that they are in the process of switching accepted students from Interact Now to the online.midwestern.edu site. You should have received a letter that gives you a student ID # and password (mine was a bunch of numbers).

You can pay your matriculation deposit through the online.midwestern.edu site. As for the pre-reqs-- there are some discrepancies with mine as well. I spoke to an admissions counselor and asked her why my account showed missing classes.. She told me that their file does not show me missing those classes and not to worry about it. Soo.. I'm trying not to worry about it until I actually get around to submitting my transcripts to MWU.

Hey Twins Fan AKA Jeremy,
I received my acceptance letter yesterday, exact same problems as you. I called admin this morning and first spoke with an advisor (her name is Krista), under my pre-regs requirement, it stated that I still need one bio + lab class. I asked her to please check my profile b/c I took over 40 bio units as an undergraduate, that and plus the fact that there is no way I can enroll in a class now b/c most spring classes will finish in the end of June and CPG begins classes in the beginning of June. She looked over my profile and told me I was fine, that she was going to update the system and I shouldn't have to worry about it.
Then, I asked her about the website and how when logging in, there was no deposit/matriculation link, she transfered me around and finally someone was able to fix the website. I thought it was just me, but I guess maybe everyone will have this problem too...call them on Monday to get it fixed...The only problem I have now is once I was able to log in, it state that I'm missing organic chemistry classes...which is wrong b/c I have a B.S in chemistry!!
Anyway, just wanted to let you know their computer system is obviously not perfect, and as long as you have all your classes together then don't worry about it. I sent them my transcripts today so hopefully they will update that soon. That being said, yeah you're right, it seems like there's always something to worry about. hahahah. Best of luck!

I just came back from my interview.
The campus was nice! I like the area where the campus is located.
The weather was crazy.. I mean it was pretty nice and warm for November, but can't imagine how hot it would be in summer?

I'm not sure how my interveiw went. just have to wait and find out!!
How's everybody else's experience? I think there were about 20 people on the day. Where is everybody??

If anyone receives anything, please post here! Now the agonizing wait has begun. 😳

I just contacted the U of MN admissions office and let them know my plight (about not wanting to blow $1000 for the deposit to Midwestern if I'm accepted to MN). The lady I spoke with said they were finalizing a couple decisions this morning and should have the acceptance/wait list/denial letters in the mail either today or tomorrow. Also she said to call back Wed. or Thurs. if I hadn't received the letter yet so I know what to do with the MWU-CPG deposit! She was super cool about the whole situation but understandably doesn't want to let people know if possible...I'm sure they are well aware of forums like this and the possible flood of calls they could receive if news gets out that someone has been accepted or denied!

So hang in there WannaBe! We should be hearing soon.

just got my agreement today.... so i have to pay my money too before Nov 9... BUT on the MWU website it says 10/12/2007 under applicant checklist for my $1k due date...does anybody knows if that means the full amount isn't due until Dec 10th? or is it still due by Nov 9th?

I was able to pull up the matriculation agreement today as well...seems they wanted the $1000 before we even interviewed michelle! Pay by 10/12 for the interview on 10/19 to see if you get a chance to get in🙂

To respond to islander01, we found out through the Interact Now website that we were accepted last Monday (Oct. 29), so yeah, two weeks (supposed to pay up by this Friday). Non-refundable........you know, I understand that they don't want people to accept and later on say nah, I guess I don't want the spot, and I know it costs time and money for their admissions staff to get students through the matriculation process, but a completely non-refundable $1000 deposit so many months ahead of time seems like such highway robbery to me. I'm not starting school there until June, but they'll have use of that money starting now.

For those of you just starting the admissions process, be prepared to spend a whole bunch of money😀 I guess it's all worth it in the end, but application fees, traveling, and everything else really hits you right in the pocketbook!

Does anyone know if they are going to MWU-CPG for sure? I feel like I've finalized my decision about going here. Just wanted to see who else feels the same way? I'm not too fond of California schools anymore and I really want to go to a 3 year school. We just hired a new pharmacist at my work and shes only 23 from doing the UOP 5 year program. Kinda made me anxious to hurry up and finish pharmacy school 🙂

Just last night I ended up declining the offer from MWU-CPG as I've been accepted at University of Minnesota and it's a better fit for me. The three-year aspect of the MWU-CPG program is nice but I really felt like I belonged at the U of MN when I interviewed there...didn't get that feeling at MWU.

Seems like a nice school though, just isn't for me!

I interviewed on the 1st. I havent heard anything yet though. Most peoples interact now accounts seem to be changing within about two weeks, so hopefully by next weekend

You should receive your MWU ID# in a letter that tells you they have sent the supplemental invite by email. It took 3 days afterward for me to receive the letter. Just to let you know though-- I actually mailed out my supplemental before I received the letter and left the field blank. I don't think it had any negative effects. If your supplemental is all done and ready to go, I wouldn't wait around for the ID# to arrive. But if you want to call them, then by all means. 🙂
