Does anyone know where I might be able to find class statistics for Midwestern University?

I am interested in a "class profile" (i.e. number of applications received, resident vs. non- resident, average DAT and GPA, etc.)

Thanks!

In sept we were told by Dean Simonsen that the stats for our class (MWU 2013) were on average: GPA 3.5 (we were not told if that was science or overall, so assume overall), average DAT 19 (I assume both AA, and Science), average RC 22 (RC is important). These stats were a little higher than the first and inaugural class of 2012 (Which I believe were closer to a 3.3 GPA and 18-19 DAT).
Hopefully this helps and remember that these are just stats and there are a number of people in our class that got in below these averages, and I am sure that some were rejected with above these stats as well.

Good Luck

If I remember it correctly,
3500 applicants, 500 interview, 111 acceptance, 100 alternative list.

To find the statistics on all of the schools, buy the "Official Guide To Dental Schools" from the ADEA. It gives a lot of great info

Haha yea, I got rejected last year and I had a 28 RC. Dean Simonsen stresses RC like there is no tomorrow, but obviously it can't be too important. Good luck all! 👍

I have a 28 RC and was lucky enough to get in. I'm sure it helps but there's a lot more to an applicant than a RC score. Make sure your AA and TS are competitive too!

Sorry if you were thinking that I meant that RC was the ticket to entrance to MWU, obviously you need to have a very well balanced application. I was just indicating that I know for the DAT the RC is looked at closely. That being said if you have a solid application everywhere but RC I am sure that you wouldn't be rejected on RC alone. I was pointing out that the RC average for our class (2013) was significantly higher than the average DAT for our class, nothing more. Good luck to those waitlisted.

if you have a very high stat, 3.6+, 22AA+, You will definitely be waitlisted or rejected by Midwestern.

So don't apply to Midwestern if you have a high stat

this year's avg accepted w/ deposit down so far is 3.6 and 19. if you get flat out rejected with 3.6 OR 22, it was you.

I think it was just you. Sorry.
