""Have you ever enrolled in a health profession education program as a candidate for a certificate or degree?""

Does the above question merit answering with information regarding Masters programs?? I wasn't sure what a "education program' consisted of, but want them to know that I plan on/will be in a Masters program in the coming fall during the year 'off' before entering dental school....

Thanks~!

Call the damn school. You would have had your answer hours ago....and it would have been correct.

I thought this was exactly the place to ask these sorts of questions.
GIven all the stupid "will i get in with a 3.9??" and "Where can i get in with a 2.0! HELP!" question threads that everyone jumps at answering back at, I didn't really see the harm in asking what I thought was a legitimate question.

THank you for answering the question though....albeit rudely.

True, those kinds of threads are wastes, but at the same time your question would be much better posed to the school itself. I remember once seeing a thread started asking about one question on the secondary for a specific school. A couple people guessed at what to do, reassured themselves by agreeing with each other, and then moved on (it was a thread from the previous cycle). I called the school to ask and was told something quite different from what those couple posters agreed on among themselves. Moral of the story is for school-specific questions like this you're better off just calling the school.

If I were you, and if it is a masters program for a health profession degree, I would definitely mention that you are enrolled or are planning on enrolling. I think it would show that you are all about education for educations sake and that you are motivated.

I see what you mean; you have a point.
Thanks for the (useful) response! 👍👍🙂

Good point;; thanks!

Wow, you really ARE a d-bag.

Wow. I really AM.

Are you still butt-hurt because I said you were SDN's worst member? I noticed your attitude on the board changed after I said it and you actually have helped people...I guess I struck a chord with you.

Op -- did you call the school and find out? I'm curious as well. I would call but I'm out of the country for a while 🙂

Glad you've been keeping up with all my posts and making sure it meets your positivity requirements. I guess after your post I just realized I need to be more Utahn like you and live in a state of "I'm-so-happy-and-I-love-everyone" ignorance.

I was under the impression that they want you to only submit a supplemental app after they have contacted you...do we all send one? 😕

Once they get your AADSAS, they check to make sure you meet their minimum GPA requirements and if you do, they email you the link to the secondary.

I don't follow your attempt at an insult, nor your strange obsession with Utahns(sic). I guess I would have to live in Utah to feel offended, that is if being happy and loving people is a bad thing?

No i didn't actually, sorry.
I had already submitted it anyways prior to receiving these answers, so I guess it was the right thing to do though since the masters stuff counts i guess! 🙂

You +1 me being a d-bag because I said damn.

I +10 you being incapable of being independent. If it would be more positive, you are capable of being dependent.

Why would you (and all the others like you who ask school specific questions that you no one on the forum could possibly know with any certainty) not be able to figure out the best way to solve your problem would be to pick up the phone and have a 45 second conversation?

I am amazed at the lack of common sense many/most show on this forum.

You're not a d-bag because you said 'damn'.
You're a d-bag because you go around to everyone else's posts, NEVER giving any quality responses or answers to anything, but instead just spouting out some 3rd grade level smartass remarks.
What's the purpose of being on the forum then if you're not being productive to yourself or anyone else? Unless you pat yourself on the back each time you pathetically write some comment thinking it's gonna burn the person you're writing it to or you scored by marginally insulting someone's question or post or comment.

And if you can read.....re-read the OP. Just because the title of the thread had a specific school in it, that was the ONLY reference to it being a ''school-specific'' thread.
If you can comprehend what you read, the OP was asking what consisted of a "health profession education program" .

I dont see anything there that says "are my stats good enough for this specific school" or "what does this specific school ask for in an interview"
--it was a GENERAL question as to what the supplemental question was asking for. I labeled it as 'Midwestern' thinking that others who had gotten the supp. already might see it and offer thoughts.
Sorry I didn't plan for some 2bit loser lurking around a forum all day to give his unwanted/unnecessary two cents.

& by the way this was a stupid comment:
"be independent.....by calling up someone to ask the answer to the question they're asking of you!"
yeah, cause that screams independent!!

Why would an applicant CALL UP the school, ask for the answer that they're looking to hear, and then put that down as their answer?
If thats how you plan on getting in......
LOTS of good luck to you! 👍:xf::laugh::laugh:

First you falsely attributed a quote to me. Second, why wouldn't an applicant call the school to receive clarity on a question such as your original question? Third, why wouldn't you want to give them the answer that they are looking to hear?

You really struggle with critical thinking, that much has become clear to me.

Do you have examples not directed at you or tex?

Ummmm, wouldn't the answer to your question be school specific? And specific to the school you received the secondary application from? Hmmm, your critical thinking at work again.

So all schools use the same secondary application and would consider your plans to do a masters in the same light? Hmm, again, extrapolate some information you already have and think critically.
Sorry I didn't plan for some 2bit loser lurking around a forum all day to give his unwanted/unnecessary two cents.
Hmm, first you thanked me for responding, now my response is unwanted? You must be a lady😉

wtf , what 'tex' are u talking about?

No, it actually wouldnt a-hole. Once again, your inability to read is pretty astounding. My original question was WHAT IS A HEALTH PROFESSION EDUCATION PROGRAM.
Had I simply posted a thread without labeling it as a Midwestern topic, you would have no idea what it was about. But, since there ARE people on the boards who do comment more than just to be a lonely freak, I gave a bit of background incase anybody else had seen the question too (i.e. on the MIDWESTERN SUPPLEMENTAL)....which, surprise surprise! 😱😱 did you see how many (real) posters commented "i was wondering that too!" and such.

So all schools use the same secondary application and would consider your plans to do a masters in the same light? Hmm, again, extrapolate some information you already have and think critically.
Another stupid point. Doesn't even make sense LOL

first you thanked me for responding, now my response is unwanted?
Yeah,,,,,again... I wasn't actually THANKING you.
wow, i'm really interested in seeing what you're RC score would be! Lol what does someone who can't read clearly/properly score...like a 8? 10 maybe?
:laugh::laugh::laugh:

I didn't 'falsely attribute' anything to you --I was summarizing the stupid points you had tried to make earlier.

Third, why wouldn't you want to give them the answer that they are looking to hear?
Really?? Is that how you're gonna go about applying and attempting to get in? By giving generic BS answers to only say what you think they want to hear, and not actually being real with your answers????
hahahahahahahahahha
again....make sure to let everyone know how this application process goes for you 😉 😉 😉
I'm sure it'll be a good laugh if nothing else!:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Can you please post a few more times RP37, so that you can get yourself a nice ban?👍

Yeah, OKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK..............

Since calling it how it is outweighs being rude and unhelpful to everyone on these boards.

BTW....AGAIN with the reading difficulty!!??! :scared::scared:
Poor thing 🙁

this is a Pre-DENTAL forum.
there's another link for pre-MEDICAL elsewhere.
I'm sure the kids on that one would love some of your negativity and useless snide comments! 🙂

since you ARE afterall preMED.
what are you doing then trolling the preDENTAL forums??

Its ok, i'm sure it must have been confusing as to which forum to go into on the main screen.......so many big words and all these letters thrown together!! :scared::scared::scared::scared::scared::scared:

I wasn't aware I was pre-med. Shoot, I have been shadowing all these dentists for nothing!

Keep going, you are making your self look even more intelligent with every post!

there there, its ok 😳

And congrats on being smart enough to edit your old post. I intentionally didn't quote it to give you a chance to retract what you said.

LLLLLMMMFFFAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO you are just a riot of laughter!!! hahaha

http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=800553

http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=810446
this thread, the first sentance ends with "to apply to medical school". but thats right, that's not pre-med 😉 LOLLLLL

and those were done in ....02/11 ??
Wow, someone's REALLY passionate about being a dentist now! a whole good ...... 4 months?! 😱
and that second one is TWO months ago!

Keep going, you are making your self look even more intelligent with every post!

Rightfully so.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

sacapuntas.....I'm going to have to agree with rp37 on this one. Why bother answering a question when you're only going to be negative about it. He/she was asking a sincere question and instead of answering it you were kind of being a d-bag.

+1 👍 🙂
Exactly my point.

Oh well, they're gone now finally! 😀 😀 👍 👍 😀

I guess the whole "I'm not pre-med! You look so dumb saying that I am!"
and then the consequent posting of a couple threads which sacapuntas started themself about ATTEMPTING TO GO TO MED SCHOOL .....must have been the tipping point.

Someone beat him/her at their own pathetic game 😀
