Hi guys! Has anyone heard anything back from Midwestern about acceptances for Fall 2020? How is their program?

Hi. Thank you for starting this thread. I am also waiting as well. I submitted my application early December and got an email that my application was put on hold for a potential invitation for an interview. I have not received an update since then. When did you submit your application?
 
I submitted my application in December and recently had an interview. I am waiting to hear back now. What other schools did you apply to?

I applied to AT Still University in AZ (also had a recent interview) and OT programs in CA.
 
I interviewed in November for Midwestern and they said acceptances would start in February. So we should be hearing back soon.
 
Has anyone heard anything back yet? I interviewed with the first group in January (I know there was one more interview group in late January) and they said we would hear back early February. Does anyone know if its an email or a call or a physical letter?
 
I recently had my interview at the end of January. They said they would be contacting next week during the week! They also said it is a call.
 
How many rounds of interviews were there from November to late January? I was thinking like 5-7?
 
Me, too!! Congrats, to you guys!! Just waiting for the official email/paperwork to make it real lol. 😛 I guess the long, torturous wait was worth it!!

Congrats to everyone else who got in (or got waitlisted).

Did those of you who were offered a seat, accept that seat? I will be attending this Fall and was curious who else will be in the cohort - seems like this MWU page has been a bit quiet, so wasn't sure who else accepted out of those offered admission.
 
Hi. Does anyone have any idea if Midwestern University (Glendale campus) will still continue to send out interview invites around this month or in March? (Just curious since most people in this forum have already heard back.) I submitted mine early December but the only email I received from admissions that time was that my application was placed on a waitlist for a potential interview.

I believe since they go by rolling admissions, they keep going until the cohort seats fill up. I'm not sure if that means they could even go until right before the program starts in the Fall, but I guess that could be a possibility.

Maybe check-in with Admissions if you don't hear from them - to see if the committee is still reviewing/inviting people for interviews?

Congratulations to students who got accepted. I have an upcoming interview there.
Any tips? Is this a group interview? What questions were asked? How did the day go from beginning to end?

Hi there! I submitted my app in January and was told my application was also placed on a waitlist for a potential interview. I emailed admissions recently and was told my application is still at interview waitlist status. I was also told that my application will continued to be reviewed (along with the other new applicants) BUT I was told that at this point they anticipate very few new interview invitation will be granted. So I guess we just have to hang tight 😕
 
Hello everyone!

Thank you so much for starting this thread. I submitted my application in January 2020 really close to the deadline, so I am a bit worried. However, I did get an email saying my profile is on "hold pending a potential invitation for an interview". Trying to stay positive and just wondering how we are going to start school in August amidst the chaos due to COVID-19.

I spoke to Elizabeth the admin rep yesterday about the start date in August and looks like it's still in the books. What are everyone's thoughts? Also, visit these links from the school site for any updates. They helped ease my mind a bit during these crazy times.

I guess we are in the same boat 🙁. Who did you speak to if you don't mind me asking?
 
Hello! I was just recently admitted into the Mid U AZ OT program and will be attending. I was wondering if there was a group page or group message for the cohort beginning this year. I would love to be able to talk with others in this cohort about the program and where everyone will be living because I will be moving from out of state. Thanks in advance!!

Congrats!! I was accepted as well & am also attending this Fall. I have been looking for a group here for our cohort, too, but unfortunately have not seen one. I've only seen this thread here but that's about it.

I believe there will be a FB group soon for our cohort + there is also an app MWU suggests you download that's sort of like another FB.
