Midwestern vs Barry

I'm a pre-dental student and I recently got into both 1 year programs at Midwestern AZ and Barry University. I was trying to decide which one would be the best option for getting admission into dental school.

I know there are two midwestern dental schools and there is a guaranteed interview if one gets a gpa of 1 std deviation above the last entering dental class. But at the same time, its a Masters of Arts degree, which confuses me if its going to help me in the future.

Barrys has the same 1 year program but the degree is Masters of Science in Biomedical Sciences and this one, I believe, has an unofficial linkage to Nova.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I was in the same boat you are! I decided on Midwestern since it was closer to home and had the actual dental school right there on campus. It was really great to have profs from the masters write letters of recommendation because they were names that the dental school recognized. I studied really hard, got involved in class activities, and I got into both the AZ and IL campuses. During my AZ interview, they told me I was there due to my improved DAT scores. Scores which improved after taking the exam prep during the program and using a lot of what I learned there to self-study.

Thanks WAgirl for the positive response! also wondering, where did you live when you were studying there and did you end up taking DAT right after the program? like i already reapplied before going to the program dd youu do that as well? or did you end up taking a year off after the program? and also, did you end up getting into any other programs other than midwestern?
