Midyear 2012

As a 4th year, it's a must-attend for me. Applying for fellowships and maybe looking into some residencies.

I got a great deal at Hard Rock hotel by finding deals online (I think I paid ~$60 a night, but I booked a few months back). I almost wish it were in another city.. Too many distractions in LV!
 
Where is it at ? and when is it ?

I am going for certain - if not for residencies, then to meet and hopefully hang out with some coolio SDNers. :meanie: :laugh:

I'll be going. It's only a short drive away 😀

The hotels are expensive, though. ****, I'll stay at the Bellagio for those prices.

Las Vegas, Dec 2 - 6, at the Mandalay Bay convention center, I think.

I might be there, if money and time don't conspire against me.

Oh, we aren't just meeting up - we are going to rock that town in an epic SDN get together!

I'm going! The great thing about working in academia is that they are shelling out the dough for me to stay at Mandalay.

I'll be there. No dough needs to be shelled, since we ended up finding rooms that were cheaper than the government-reimbursed rate. Unfortunately my poster will have nothing on it, as IRB approval won't be until November 🙁 I guess lots of P4s will be asking me how my residency is going. We got a deal for under 100 bucks a night, which is what the govt is OK with reimbursing us, so no dough needs to be shelled.
 
I want to meet SDN pharmacy legends at this meeting.
 
P4 student here, going to midyear. Good to see some of the same SDNers still posting here.

I am 90% sure I will NOT be attending.

Going to an ID meeting instead...Midyear programming sucks for professionals.

All my bosses and our residents will be at this meeting, which is part of the reason I'd rather go somewhere else so I don't have to behave myself.

I'm making reservations now. When do you guys think is best to fly in and out?

Based on the schedule, it looks like I might fly in Sunday with Mrs B and enjoy a day in Vegas. Opening session's the next day, and then is the exhibit the main draw for students? (Along with the various lectures)

Is the "exhibit program" listed on the schedule the same thing each day? Just trying to see if we should fly home Tuesday or Wednesday.
 
I'll be attending as a P3 to assimilate to the madness before the real thing the following year.
 
Can someone explain how the process goes - will there be little sessions where you get to meet residency directors and have a little prelim interviews with them or what ?

how packed in terms of events is the conference ? Are there mixers with hot pharmacy students/residents after or what?
