As a dentist in the military do you have to learn how to shoot a gun and do exercises/drills?

Is it different by branch?

Thanks

Army: yes, you get to shoot M4s, M9s, and M16s. that's actually one the better parts of being in the military.

Are these scholarships very competitive? I'm sure this has been asked numerous times but is it correct that like 60 spots are open every year? And do they look at everything dental school look at? Grades, EC's, DAT scores, etc.?

Depends on the service. Army, Navy, and Air Force all have very different numbers of what they have available, how quickly they go, and what being "competative" means. Army has about 70 4 yr scholarships this year.

I've also fired ACRs, SCARs, Javelin missles, and RPGs.

Oh no wait, that was Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3.
