Military Funding

This has probably been discussed - that said here goes:

A DO friend of mine suggested I look into military, specifically the ARMY or Air Forces for funding to pay for med school.

Looks like a decent way to go - please provide some feedback and if you think this is a really bad way to go especially while we are at war.

I am a nontrad, somewhat older, not quite done with my undergrad. Would the military be difficult for a liberal/free thinking/logically driven student?

Along with any responses you might get, I suggest you check out the military medicine forum. There are a TON of threads with similar questions that you have if you do a search of that forum.
