Hey Guys!

I'm a long time follower, but first time poster. I just did a TEDx Talk about our generation entering medicine. It's entitled "Millennials in Medicine". I discussed how our generation will be devoted to not only saving lives, but also to saving the healthcare system as a whole. SDN has been a wonderful means of communicating with other young docs for me over the years, and I wanted to share it directly with you guys. Thanks for years of help guys!

Nice talk. Can you provide some links/articles describing where medical schools are aiming to produce these future management-capable physicians (MBA or MHA)? I am on the fence about getting one of those degrees in addition to an MD. On the one hand, I certainly see the need for physicians to be involved in healthcare policy and hospital management. However, I also see that career path cutting into practicing medicine.

Excellent talk! Held my interest the entire time, which is not the case with all TED talks. Thanks for doing this, very informative

Excellent job, touched on a lot of important issues in a cohesive and coherent way.

There are problems to solve and if you are not taking a seat at the table, you are a cog in the machine.

This was brilliant, thank you.

Nice talk!!! I'm a bit dissapointed you didn't talk about the horrors of tuition cost. If it weren't for that reason I would be considering getting an MBA more-so than I am now.

Also, I feel that many MD MBAs will be sell outs just like a lot of other adminstrators, but it's still a start.

real medical students watched this at 2x speed

I'm not even a med student or accepted but ever since downloading this chrome add-on where I can speed up any video in 0.1 increments I can't watch anything at normal speed. I feel like I'm wasting my time. It's honestly just so much more convenient. Some Khan videos I can even bump up to 2.5, it's so useful.
