InSpace is the industry’s only minimally invasive biodegradable, subacromial balloon spacer for arthroscopic treatment of massive, irreparable rotator cuff tears (MIRCTs)†.
What is the general consensus on this forum with this kind of procedure?
This seems like a minimally invasive surgery to me. Is there a consensus that this sort of procedure is within the scope of pain docs, or are there differing opinions on this?
Also, is there pushback from ortho if/when pain docs would try to pick these patients up? I know the description says "irreparable" rotator cuff tear (presumably not a true surgical case), but I wondered if they would see this as encroachment.
