Im guessing around the 3.0 range. Other factors to take into account too.
It depends on many other factors (as mentioned above) but if you have to hear a number, I would say that with a 25-30 MCAT then you should be fine with a 2.8-3.0. A lower GPA would require higher MCAT or an interesting life story.

Some of the finest universities in the US consider your financial status very carefully and strongly.

Big 4 2.6 and higher with MCAT
Others 2.0 and 90 credits...........................Yeah its sad.................😛
Minimum of 160K last time I checked. Oooooo you meant GPA, dont worry, they evaluate your credit score more than your MCAT and GPA, hahah, j/k, well kinda....

Had to attend interviews for both. I had a 22L MCAT and a 3.2 (bombed the physical portion on the MCAT), no volunteer work, no publications, participated in 1 research lab. Im lucky to get in (was borderline). So, THERE'S Hope..

I had a bunch of entry level grad classes as an undergrad: molecular biology, medical micro, etc. and aced them...

Actually, they don't evaluate your credit score in the admissions process. That is only don once you've been accepted and apply for student loans, just like with any other school.

Yeah? So.......I practiced at Johns Hopkins and Trauma for years as an RN?
Medschool is different, it's different than undergrad, heck PHD's here fail this stuff and I passed I think "Show Me the Money" Applies, talk the talk but till you walk the walk you still do not know.
Premed is PRE so Medstudents have a better idea of MEDICAL SCHOOL I think.
Not to you this is in general:
It is darn offensive to see myths posted as facts, how as a Premed can you know what Medschool is like without going.
There are those of us who are Med students and have to read these posted things we know are not true along with
the research some of us have done for years before going and now during, yeah many of us check out these things cause we are spending 1000's on school. So please unless it's a fact post it as opinion ie: IMO Thanks

At IU, you can take courses with Med Students. Their first 2 years can be at any of the 5 branches in the State where they are enrolled with undergrads, graduates, and the like in upper level courses. It's called "BASIC SCIENCES." I'm not trying make a deal of this, but my med micro class was the same class that had Med Students enrolled, graduate students, and some motivated undergrads like myself. This was also the same case for classes like neuroanatomy and a few others... Not everyschool offers a class and only makes if for a grad student or medical student. Indeed some of them were accepted to the medical program, but were taking the same classes as others... As for me, if a class is 5 or 600 level and it's called pharmocology, I'm not going to look at it as a pre-med and you have to study your arse off. If I was in the MD program currently, I'd already be done with the first year...

No you have not done the First year of Medical school, this is really irritating because if that was true then the ADCOMs would just roll over to let you in at a US school. They do not. The work is different, no matter what you believe, there are NP's here who just received NP 3 years ago, same as year 1 and year 3 of Medical school? NO They say it's different and harder.
I make these points because so many are fooling themselves into "It will be easier for me" then if they do go they struggle to pass due to this mind set.
Medical school is not easy no matter what you have done and what you think, it is not easy, in the USA, Caribbean, Europe.
Advice from a MSII about to be MSIII and practiced as an RN for 17 years and worked hard.
Good Luck.
Stupid question...but how do you calculate pre-med GPA for caribbean schools? Do you account for the classes taken just like AMCAS or do you you replace grades with the best grade when you retake just like for DO schools? And if you are a science major, do you just pick and choose which grades you want to put in a premed requirement..lets say you have a C in Gen. Chem...but you get an A in physical chem in a later term..can i just not use the C grade and use the A to fulfill basic premed requirements...?
I have to agree with oldpro, and this is in no way an attack towars spreebee. There are people in my medical school class that have masters and PhD degrees in some of the same subject matter we are covering, and they are by no means doing the best at their own subjects. I think what hits most people the hardest about medical school is the little amount of time you have to learn so many things. It's a lot like verbal reasoning. Anbody could do well on VR if they didn't have the time limit. It's the lack of time that usually causes the stress and poor performance.

Well It's ok I just do not want people to be shocked when reality sets in, Medschool is a Major Bitch, no way around how hard it is, and just wait till SHelf exams or the USMLE hits you then you really feel like you know nothing! I mean it I've been doing web path tonight OMG I have to study!!!!!!!!😱
