i got rejection from UMN..my stat is nbde 90/toefl 105/gpa best( 3.58) , comprehensive (3.24)..

is my gpa to do something wid it..?

When did u get the rejection, before or After interview??

87/toefl97/3.58 3 years exp as Master's 1 year observership. strong lor's

Is there a dress code for the interview? I dint find any mention of it in the invite for the interview...People who have given their interviews please help with the type of dress code amomg the interviewees.

Uni of Minnesota already sending out rejection letters? I just out my application couple of days back and they said they received it but asked me to wait for 8-10 for response.. Is that a good sign or what? This whole process of applying and working so hard just to get your licensure is daunting me.. Please respond

Their admissions are on a rolling basis.So people who applied earlier must have got interview invitations,acceptances and rejections etc.already.They will accept applications till the deadline.So you still have time if you just applied.

i have seen minnesota deadline is oct 29th.i thought of applying this week .but by going through this thread i think i have thin chances .
my status is 85/102/3.5.
do i have chance if i apply now.
i need your suggestions guys.

SIS i received the same letter, it means that your application will be reviewed again more than once with other candidates' applications... so all we gotta do is wait and hope for the best

Here're the upsides of applying in your case:
- They keep some open spots all the way through the deadline (as Dr. Berthold told us)
- Your stats are pretty good
- Application to UMN is a very applicant-friendly process
- Finally, if it turns out you don't succeed this year, if you improve your profile/stats and re-apply next year, your chances will improve dramatically.

Downsides?... I know none.

The application process is simple over here.. they need only photocopies of all the documents with a 100 dollar cheque... I would say, if you have a decent score in part 1, just send it for the peace of your mind ... you never know....

Hi Docs, I too applied to UMN. My application reached them on 22 october 2010. They told that they will contact within 4 to 8 weeks. I am waiting to here from them.
