Minnesota vs. Indiana

Minnesota will have better fishing and hunting. Besides that, I know nothing about either school.

Im not really sick of these threads (they're just threads), but what I don't understand is why you would want to ask a complete stranger for their opinion on something you should have gotten during your interview. After going to my Az interview, I was extremely impressed, and they are def my new top choice. But I asked so many questions from my tour guide, visited the mall, and liked the area and fit of the school for me. You didn't get any feeling during your interviews there? I would talk to some current D3's & D4's and get their honest opinions to help you out. Don't base your decision on fish.

What do you guys think? I know, I know, I'm sick of these threads too. I'm a Wisconsin resident. Pretty expensive tuition in both cases.

I interviewed at both placers and overall I liked Indiana better. I didn't get to see much of the city, living areas seemed boring, but the school looked like it offered a great clinical experiance and the classes seemed managable. Everything was on the computers you get and the classes seemed like they were good friends with each other. I have a couple of friends who go there and they seemed to enjoy it, but their wives didn't adjust well to the area.

Minnesota was in a cool area right on main campus. I talked to a couple of students who told me to run from the school as fast as possible...but take advice like that with a grian of salt, they are usually bitter and came to the school expecting to hate it.

I would have chosen Indiana if it had come down to those two schools.

I also interviewed at both. I liked Indiana as well and I think the students seemed happier there. I wasn't offered an acceptance there so I pretty much had to put down a deposit at Minnesota. If I had the choice, I'd probably still choose Minnesota simply because I have family there and like another poster noted...gotta love the hunting and fishing.

MANNNNN IS THAT BODY BUILDER ICON FROM A REAL PERSON OR IS IT FAKE

Indiana's dental program looked much better than Minnesota's dental school. While Minnesota's dental school has connections with the Mayo Clinic, I'd say the students at Indiana were more "cheerful" about their school, as opposed to the grim looks on the Minn. dental students' faces.

I also didn't have a good experience with the locals in Minn staring at me as if I am from outer space. I guess they don't have much contacts with minorities up there.

Furthermore, many people criticize Indiana's dental facilities as being "old" and non-impressive. However, to me, nothing looked old and outdated when I toured Indiana's dental clinics.

BTW, forget about fishing, the weather, and campus looks and what not. because you will be spending most of your time in doors STUDYING!

Just thought I'd mention that I believe Minneapolis has a very large minority population. I was told by my interviewer that they have the largest Somali population in the US.

And...I guarantee you I'm going to make time for fishing and hunting. 👍
