I am currently a Biochemistry major. My major requires for me to choose a capstone, meaning to choose either to double major, minor in something else,or conduct a senior thesis research.
What would you guys recommend? I was a little set on doing the thesis, but now I'm looking towards back up and my interests in other fields so I thought maybe I should double major with Economics.
Any feedback/help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm a Biochemistry major as well. At my school you only need to take an extra 300+ level biology course to obtain a Biology minor. If your school is like that I would suggest the same. I took Histology and it was by far the most fun (and hardest) class I've had yet.

But if you want to do a thesis then do it, don't do something that you don't want to do.

If it's a question of what helps your application the most, it's probably the thesis - nobody cares about majors or minors.

But even so, it may not add a lot in and of itself - it's much more important to do something you might enjoy. So if you like doing Economics and don't like the thesis, I'd go and do Economics. It's interesting, if nothing else.

My 2 cents:
If you have a solid interest in Economics or another area, go for the double major. If you are impartial either way, go for the thesis.

Thesis! Minors and double majors are practically useless unless you're REALLY set on taking those classes.
