Minority advantage for plastics spot?

Is there an advantage for a minority (specifically Puerto Rican from Puerto Rican med school) to get a fellowship in Plastics after 5yrs Gen Surg at a Univ Hospital? Does anyone know what kind of things are looked at most during the application process, absite scores, grades, LORs, etc? Thanks for the advice.

I have no idea if there is a minority advantage or not. Definately do well on the ABSITE all three years and definately get good letters from well known people.
