Minors vs Prerequisites?

How low are the grades? Can you take them at another university?

I personally would complete the minors because they would make me stand out a little more. I double majored and double minored, many interviewers asked me questions about one of the four of them since none of them were typical pre-med or anything.

I'm wondering same as above, what did you get in the courses you're considering retakes in? What is your overall gpa?

Goro has said minors don't really matter in the admissions process, however, you're clearly very close in completing them, so if it were me, I would just complete them after you put this much time into it. Pre-reqs/retakes are very common in post-bacs.

Adcoms don't care about minors (or majors), only that you do well.

Take and excel in what interests you.

I have limited number of hours left at my university and am faced with a dilemma. If I retake pre-req courses such as organic chemistry and/or biochemistry for a better grade, I won't have the hours to complete either or both of my mathematics/french minors. What are some of your opinions on this?

With so many people minoring, I doubt it would stand out at all.

Minors mean pretty much nothing except a good pat on the back from family members, if that. Your best bet is to retake those Ds and get As if you can. That could raise your GPA a good amount... what are Ds like a 1.0? Say the adcoms ask "So why did you get a D in organic chemistry?" -- Would it be better to be able to say, "well, I wanted to achieve my math minor, even at the expense of my medically related classes." Or would you rather want to say, "yeah... I retook that and got an A so irrelevant!"
