the java applet that loads lets you toggle with the distances and switch between converging/diverging and mirror/lens. i found this to be extremely helpful when learning about optics.

Anyone look at the last one?

It says that if only a converging lens were present, the image would be formed at the focal length of the converging lens. This is not true though, it cannot be true according to one of the equations.
