Missing letters of rec

I really made an extra effort to get my application in early. My AADSAS application was mailed on July 2 and my letters of rec were all received at AADSAS by July 6.

I have just been patiently waiting to hear back from schools because I knew that I had turned everything in so there is nothing to do but wait at this point. However, this past week, AADSAS started showing updates in the "school decisions" section of my application. Two of the schools say "Waiting Additional Information." I immediately called the schools to find out what is missing and both schools are missing a different letter of rec. I called AADSAS and they confirmed that all 3 letters of rec were mailed to the schools in early July. I can't believe that it has been over a month that I have been waiting around and my application is still being considered incomplete by the schools. The schools are telling me that the letters could still be in a stack waiting to be processed at their school, but I highly doubt that the other 2 letters would be received and that last letter would still be in a stack (since all 3 letters were mailed within a few days of each other). I'm so frustrated because I feel like I got screwed with the schools being disorganized and losing my letters! AADSAS says that they will not re-send them since they already mailed them once. So, my only option now is to bother my professors again to have them mail it directly to each school. I'm angry and I'm sure my professors are not going to be excited to do AADSAS' job. Is anyone else in the same situation?

I applied to dental school in 2005, but pulled out before interviews to do some work for my church. I just finished and am applying again. I had a similar problem the first time that I applied. I had everything in in early July, even my letters were done in May, and I had no idea how long I was supposed to wait, so I waited and waited. Finally in November I started hearing back from schools that they hadn't received all my letters, and that is why the application was taking so long. By that point I had already decided to not pursue that application cycle, but it was still really annoying to find out that AADSAS had only mailed a couple letters to each school (I had this problem at 3 or 4 schools, and they weren't always missing the same letter). Good job on calling for updates, it may have been a LONG time before they actually let you know what was up.

yea these lor are very inconvenience...the best thing for you to do now is to ask your professor to send these letter in directly to the school instead of going through aadsas....just buy an envelope and first class mail stamps or whatever and give it to your professor to send these letter in directly....

One of my LOE paper copy was sent later to every school and AADSAS. AADSAS was the only one that lost that letter....
thankfully most schools did accept letter directly sent.

3 letters are in, and I am still waiting for one more from my dentist...Does that mean my application will be considered incomplete because of the still missing LOR?
