I was found drunk on campus dorm. I didn't have to sign or meet anyone but I was sent an email to do some online alcohol class. It completely slipped my mind because it happened 7 years ago at the school I only went for a semester and it was so minor that this sort of thing happens to thousands of kids every weekend. I also have not been in any trouble anywhere since. I ordered an online transcript and I don't see anything on it. I emailed that school to check the internal record and I'm waiting to hear back from them. I already turned my application in and I'm freaking out because I read that this sort of thing should be reported as a disciplinary action. How should I address the schools about this? Am I completely sacked for this cycle?

Yes. If it's documented on an internal disciplinary record (eg. your permanent record), you will need to disclose it to all schools you applied via email to their admissions counselors. If you're documented for it and you don't disclose, you are done if / when they find out via record checking.

Your question was already answered.

If you did not get suspended or expelled and did not go to court and was charged with a DUI or drinking under the age or drinking in public, public introxication, etc. then you DO NOT need to report it. There is no reason to divulge this information as it will hurt your perception and chances for entrance. If they ever ask you if you've ever been drunk, passed out in public, or peed in a bush, then go ahead and be honest. Do not lie, but do not self-prosecute yourself when the question was never asked.

If you disagree with opinions on SDN, you should probably ask a lawyer to be on the safe side. SDN does not substitute legal advice, medical advice, or laws governing higher education and laws of privacy. Good luck!
