Mistake or is just my reading comprehension?

Had a moment there...the "bending towards" statement was messing me up I felt like I was probably reading it incorrectly.

in other words v is proportional to sqrt x and C is graph of sqrt x.

C (graph of sqrt x)- if you double x, y goes up by a factor of 1.41, graph bends towards x, as x changed by factor of 2, whereas y only changed by factor of 1.41

D (graph of x^2)- if you double x, y goes up by a factor of 4, graph bends towards the y axis, x went up by factor of 2, y went up by factor of 4.

better to just have familiarity with basic math graphs if you don't like their bending explanation
