Don't know if anybody else experienced this, but there was a lab value on my test today (S2CK) that could not have been possible in a human. Let's just say this particular ion was over 3x the upper end of the reference range, giving the vignette's patient what I can only call a "cation gap" of over 200 mEq/L...

Don't want to get into specifics as that would be against policy blah blah.

I kind of ignored it as it wasn't essential to the question, oddly enough, but still it was just interesting to see.

Anyone else have similar experiences?

That sounds pretty crazy. Out of curiosity I tried to find the highest sodium can go:
