$210,683/year. so 843,372 after 4 year. + living expenses. So you end up with almost 1million dollar debt just for 4 years in dental school. And if you think about specialty, that munber could pass 1 million easily.

The school is not that great, no clinic = no patients. New school, new faculties, you pay alot but I dont think the program will work out well. I thinking about 4-5 years later, then their program will go smoothly.

Wow, amazing number, eh?

Why don't you think the school will go "smoothly"?

Are you serious? It's $210,000 for all four years 🙄. No school in the entire world could possibly command $800,000 for tuition.

LMAO!! OP shouldn't deserve to be in dental school if he thought it was 200k per year.

the dean told interviewees during the orientation "there will be a few bumps on the road since the school and staffs are new"

and also, temp could get up to 115 everyday in the summer......enjoy the heat with a million out of your pocket.

Please make sure you get ur #'s straight before making a fool out of yourself.

hahahahhahaha

And sorry to say this, but I think you might have gotten a 15 on your QR section for a reason there buddy.

No. Midwestern will cost you around $44,000/year in (out of state) tuition.

All in favor of common sense being a new admissions requirement?

Please tell me this was a joke because I am laughing my head off right now

i think OP's mad that he got rejected by mwu.

if he truly had a mwu interview, he'd know from the finaid presentation that it was 80k per year including living from the pwpt presentation and the handouts.

ASDOH costs 44k/year, not Midwestern. Midwestern's website says tuition is 57K/year, although it may be a bit less if all four years = 210.

I'm going with Ockham's razor on this one:

Ridiculous post + only 3 posts = new account + troll

Back-up theory? Just a silly mistake. Move along people,....nut'n to see here! 🙂

As prospective dentists, I would hope you convey one of the most important "requirements", commpassion towards others. Some of these comments are the complete opposite.

sigh. kids these days.....or shall i say trolls these days!?!

I am going to have to say that the people the posted negative feed back are a bunch of punks. He made a mistake on tuition, big deal. An innocent mistake. I don't think it is necessary to be so harsh. Do you really think that you are so much better and more qualified to go to dental school, just because you know the cost of tuition. I mean really. Calm down people!!!

I was just gonna ask the same question. how was your QR??? man we're such azzholes. LOLZ no hard feelings there OP.

I am compassionate. I wish money just grew on trees that way I can be compassionate somewhere else than macdonalds.

Is Midwestern 57,000/year for instate or out of state?

You could just do what I did and pay nothing.
All you have to do is take out the loans for a year's expenses and win 3 consecutive hands of blackjack.
Pretty simple. Just make sure you practice first...

You only have three years of dental school? 🙂

So - is it true that Midwestern doesn't have their clinic built yet? What's the ETA on that thing?

No, no.

Loan= $70,000

1st Hand: Bet $70,000, win $140,000.

Now would be a good time to pay back the bank (-$70,000)

2nd Hand: Bet $70,000, win $140,000.

3rd hand: Bet $140,000, win $280,000.

🙂

Oh I guess I would have bet differently but if we are always going to win 3 would do, I would have made it 4 bets instead. If we are going to assume we will win 3 bets in a row lets make some profit

1st Hand: Bet $70,000, win $140,000.

2nd Hand: Bet $140,000, win $280,000.

3rd hand: Bet $280,000 win $560,000.

Now lets pay back that $70,000

$490,000, We rock lets go to Vegas!

Knowing that we would win 3 hands in a row I woulda bet a little differetly also. Go to a private bank and take out 500k in a home equity loan.

Hand 1: bet 500k win 1 mil
Hand 2: Bet 1 mil win 2 mil
Hand 3 bet 2 mil win 4 mil

Pay back the 500k and I made 3.5 mil. I like that way the best.

Valid point. Of course, we're not always going to win 3 straight, hence the importance in my strategy of paying back the loan after the first win. Otherwise the home-equity loan approach is a no-brainer.

A loss on the second hand simply puts you back at 0 in my scenario, whereas in your scenario a loss on the second hand puts you -$70,000, as would a loss on the first hand.

Basically, losing on the first hand, you're f___ed either way. Winning two straight is less probable than winning one straight, so I like to hedge myself by leaving the door open to multiple attempts at two straight. Of course the odds of winning a given hand are ridiculously complicated, especially if you're counting cards, but I still think paying back after the 1st bet is wise. 😉
