Mitosis Ploidy question

I understand that the overall ploidy does not change in mitosis when it is finished. My question is, when the chromosome replicates during S phase I have 4n which enters prophase as a 4n cell and then after telophase the cell splits into two 2n daughter cells. Is this correct?

Throughout mitosis, the cell is diploid. It is never 4n. You have two chromatids per chromosome after S phase, but it is still considered diploid (46 chromosomes total).
