Who's applying for this? I'm throwing in my application tonight...

I know a few people going, but not me personally. From speaking with staff at Mizzou's med school, it seems like a really great opportunity. People tend to have lots of questions about PBL, so I think it's a good idea to go if you are seriously considering their school.

(I'm the president of my school's pre-health organization, so even though I'll be going to vet school this fall, I've tried to connect the numerous pre-meds at my school to resources like this one. My SO is an M1 there, so that helps too 😉)

I was going to just for the one-on-one with the advisor (got rejected post-interview from mizzou and my UG advisor is worthless).

Then I found out it's like $200 plus hotel cost.....

The $200 is a bit of a bummer but I guess it'll save you money in the long run if it helps you to only have to apply once...

I'm just hoping someone up there will remember me when reviewing the actual application, and plus I get incredibly nervous/anxious when i'm put on the spot like the interview will do to me, so some practice will hopefully do me wonders.

This is true. However, I wouldn't argue that the intro to PBL portion of the workshop would be one of the activities that make that amount worth it. You'll hear all about PBL, see the rooms, and talk with students doing it on interview day.

I was just trying to find financial reasons lol. I do agree though, i'm going to be a total virgin to the PBL, so it will do me alot of good to be introduced to PBL.

BTW...I got my acceptance e-mail for the program today 😀
