Very good question. I have already begun slacking off.

Hey D.Chubby - I looked at your mdapplicant profile - are you seriously 17 years old??

If so, I am IMPRESSED!

Will be 17 in september. Yeah baby! 😀

OMG! I'm going to start calling you Doogie. I can't believe college students are now MORE than 10 years younger than me :scared:

Seriously, though, I am impressed. Great job!

hahahahaha 😀

As per senior year,

If you've got all the hard required classes out of the way, you can always take it easy and take classes that are more fun to take up space. That's what a friend of mine did.

awesome. to be honest, i've actually already started slacking off junior year (and threw away some of my gpa chips for it), but senior year is when i plan to go full throttle. good to know there's bums out there like me 😀

but do we have to update med schools about senior year?

I certainly cannot slack off senior year because I have some pretty tough advanced hours courses and would be going full throttle at my final year of my lab research. However, come spring semester, I think i would be taking all my science courses pass/fail and this is actually bad because although pass/fail seems like a sweet deal, I know myself well to know that I could slack off so much as to actually fail those courses. But i doubt i would, freshman or sophomore year maybe, but I am much more mature than that now. Anyways, fall semester is not going to be slack off but spring would definitely be.

I don't think you have to. I didn't, and took it easy my senior year. 12 hours of easy classes each semester (minimum to be a full-time student at UK) = win.

After matriculation, you have to send in your final transcript (which is really the only required "update") - but it's not like they're going to withdraw your acceptance because you didn't take double sciences each of your last two semesters.

wow, very impressive record as well. How did you manage to get where you are so young?

yes and especially if you get late interviews or are waitlisted

it. is also proof that age is correlated with maturity (remember BESTPREMED?).

You just need to take classes that can finish off your degree. It doesn't need to be the hardest classes in the world if you are accepted. If you are accepted you need to pass the remainder of your classes, but not necessarily with straight A's. That said, you should still put your best into whatever you do. But if you really want an easier semester after you get accepted, and all of your major requirements are met, then just take fun elective classes rather then stressing yourself out with harder classes.

If you think senoritis is bad...imagine how I felt as a PGY-7.

No... I just thought it was funny that somebody has nothing better to do on Saturday night than trolling on SDN 😉
