Keepin' this alive..think it's a good thread.
SA👍 is that a Pacemaker?
For Sinoatrial node which initiates heartbeat, as opposed to AV (atrioventricular) node which conducts impulses from atria to ventricles and is self explanatory

The SA (sinoatrial node) is definitely the pacemaker. It allows for both the atria to contract simultaneously, and sends out a delayed impulse to the AV, which will later allow for the contraction of the ventricles after going through a pathway (namely, SA -> AV -> bundle of His -> Purkinje fibers -> contraction of ventricles)

I think of a giant ant with giant flat pigs flying out of his arm pits so I never get confused btw post & anterior pituitary.

Wow... that's quite the imagination there. Hats off to you.
The other great thing about this mnemonic is that they've split them up, putting all the tropic hormones together. FLAT = all the tropic ones from the ant. pituitary.
Another note... I'm not sure if you have it in your book, but I have it as FLAT PEG, where the E stands for endorphins. Eh, take it for what it's worth.

and another one -
To remember the three hormones of the adrenal cortex: salty, sweet, sex
Salty = mineralcorticoids, Aldosterone causes reabsorption of Na+
Sweet = glucocorticoids, cortisol raises blood glucose levels
Sex = sex hormones, androgen secretion leads to male sex charactersitics, overproduction in women has masculinizing effects

Actually forget about mnemonics. It is just tricking your memory into remembering something but not actually developing your memorizing ability. HERE is a special course that will train your memory to the point when you wont need special tricks and memorizing large volume of medical data will become easy and natural. You brain, much like your physical muscles needs exercise in order to stay fit. This course gives you plenty of exercises along with a solid theoretical system that when combined will produce the skill you are looking for. Check it out
