Anyone know what the moonlighting front is like in pscyhiatry? Looking on Freida there seems to be a number of programs that offers moonlighting inside of the institution, some compensated handsomely ($100/hour). It seems to me that given the number of residents in an average program (6 x 4 years = 24) that there may be some competition for these spots effectively reducing the chance to do moonlighting to near zero. Any info from those in the know would be great!

Moonlighting policies vary from institution to institution. Best way to get the most current, most accurate information would be to call up the program administrator and ask directly.

Can't answer the question because as already mentioned its going to vary between places.

Some places need moonlighting residents, others don't. Some places even if they don't offer moonlighting, will have neighboring places that welcome them.

How much pay they offer all depends on the institution & their needs.

A better question is to ask the specific institution.
