1.. .Which of the following properties is associated with the existence of glycine as a dipolar ion in aqueous solution?
A.. .High dipole moment
B.. .High molecular weight
C.. .Low dielectric constant
D.. .Low solubility in water
What do they mean by dipolar? Why is the answer A and not D?

2.. .Analine and benzylamine are both: (structures are given)
A: primary amines

What are examples of “aromatic amines” (choice C)

3.. .Which of the following would be observed upon dissection of a freshly sedated insect?
A.. .Endoskeleton
B.. .Blood-filled sinuses
A: blood filled sinuses

Just need some help with this one

4.. .Arthropods, as a taxonomic unit, are considered successful because:
I.. .There are numerous species
II.. .Many individuals have relatively long life spans
III.. .There are aquatic, terrestrial, and flying species.
A: I and III only
But in the passage it says “arthropos are by far the most evolutionarily successful in terms of species LONGECITY, diversity, and a variety of ecological niches occupied...

Glycine, like most amino acids in aqueous solution, is a zwitterion - it has both a postively charged moiety (amine functionality) and a negatively charged moiety (carboxyl functionality). This enormous charge separation leads to a high dipole moment.

Aniline is an aromatic amine. It would have to be adjacent to the aromatic ring.

invertebrates have chitin EXOskeleton. To protect their internal organs.

as far as the 2nd question, I think its tricky because the passage said species, while question asked for arthropoda (a phylum) You can't assume that arthropods as a taxonomic unit is more successful because only SOME of its species have long life.
