More post-bacc work or apply to SMP?

Should I do another 30 credits of post bacc work after that (to raise GPA barely above 3.0) or an SMP?

I say retake a few courses and apply D.O. would be quicker way to get to 3.0

Nabilesmail, thank you for your advice. I am looking into DO as well.

Any other insights? Maybe moving this thread to Postbacc Programs would be helpful?

Before even considering SMPs, you should do well on the MCAT.

I took the test once already before finishing the 1st degree. The score was 26Q. I wasn't prepared well for the MCAT just as a test and (based on my grades then) a lot of the material on the MCAT.

My plan was to take it in the coming spring. What result would you qualify as doing "well" on the MCAT for me?

At least above average (32+), preferably 35+.
