I haven't posted on here in awhile since I've tried to keep my neurotic thoughts of when-will-I-get-another-interview and will-I-get-into-medical-school at bay, but after a recent conversation with a friend who's just gotten his interview at my top choice school even though he submitted way after me, I'm back in the anxiety thought loop. Most of my applications were complete since Aug/Sept and I'm still waiting to hear back on at least 10 schools. Ugh.

Anyone else in the same boat?

I'm still waiting to hear from about 20 🙁.... but I did apply to like 32 schools hah. It totally sucks. Do you have some interviews lined up? Any at schools you're getting excited about? I ask because I haven't gotten any IIs from any of my original "top choices," but I've gotten very excited now about other schools after visiting and interviewing.

Have you checked out the Panic Thread much? There are other people in similar situations..or may even more anxious than you. But there are also some nice stories lately from some med students who got interviews really late in the cycle.

I feel you... applied to 28, complete silence from 23 of them. I'm generally calm about apps but I have to admit seeing people juggling multiple acceptances already gets me a little agitated. Still plenty of time though!

Have you had any interviews so far?

I've had 1 interview at Temple..that was Sept. 25th and I haven't heard a peep from them yet. 4 rejections and 1 small pool from MCW earlier in October.

That's a lot! I did about 15; hope you land an acceptance at one of your top choices, or alternatives. 🙂
