[/B][/B]Hey everyone!

I hope all is well!

My MCAT is coming very soon and my weakest section is Physics(the math just wont stick in my head!) Is there any section I should really, really focus on because I heard optics, sound and electromagnetism are usually the most tested topics in the MCAT. I know i need to know everything but is there sections I should really focus on(chapters wheres is almost on every MCAT)?

Thanks a lot!

i took mcat twice and i felt like any topic can be tested

if short on time, i would work on the weak areas

I haven't taken the MCAT yet but I've taken AAMC 3-8 and I feel like I have seen a weirdly large amount of buoyancy/submersion questions.

if you've noticed from the practice tests, there are various sections that they take questions from. it ALWAYS seems to be in the same proportion every time. they focus on some things more than others, but at the end of the day, they pretty much cover almost every topic even if its with just one question.

i feel like you are asking because you want to know what to focus on. you need to be very fluent in waves. but other than that, everything. for example, there aren't really many (if any, I don't remember) on the AAMC practice tests and my actual MCAT had numerous optics questions. Everything is fair game.

Thank you all so much for the great reply!

I know that we need to know everything, but i have two weeks left and physics at this point is my weakest subject...havent taken it in 5 years and even then professor gave us open book test. I heard optics, waves, and electromagentism are the biggest tested topics on passage based section of PS MCATS. So I just wanted to devout a lot of time on these parts and it seems a lot of people agree. Thanks so much and i will definitely study everything but will do a lot more problems in optics, sound/waves, and electromagnetism.

According to BerkReviewTeach, if you're low on time, these are the sections you should focus on:

Acids and Bases
Titration Curves
Thermochemistry
Electrochemistry
Translational Motion (new book)
Sound (new book)
Fluids and Solids (old book or new book)
Electrostatics and Magnetism (new book)
Electric Circuits (old book or new book)
Light and Optics (new book)

Heart and Lung Physiology
Renal Physiology
Organic Chemistry Lab Techniques
Carbonyl Chemistry
Carbohydrates (first half, not the chemical reactions)
Amino Acids (half of the amine/amino acid chapter)
