Most convenient time to change first name

Hey everyone,

So I have plans of eventually changing my first name sometime throughout the next 10 years, meaning this could happen either during medical school, residency, or right after I become a physician. I was wondering if anyone happens to know when the most convenient time to do this would be or if it matters at all.

I'd think that shortly after entering school would be simplest. Get it over with. Soon you'll have to deal with USMLEs and then residency applications and then licensing etc etc.
