When completing the "most meaningful experiences" part of the activities and experiences section, do they expect us to have them all related to medicine or community service? I was planning on using my research, a clinical volunteering experience, and a sport that I grew up playing. Would using a sport/hobby as a most meaningful experience look bad?

No. It makes you look normal to have other interests

No and no. We're looking for well rounded people.

My wild idea to applicants is to make your most meaningful experience an actual experience you found most meaningful. Crazy, I know. In fact, having only research or clinical or other medical/academic experiences strains incredulity at times. One adcom member at a conference recalled a student who tried to make his organic chemistry class as a most meaningful experience. So, I suggest you stop worrying about how things will be interpreted and answer the most meaningful experience honestly
Cool, I agree! I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't come off as childish or not serious enough or something. I guess it's all in the wording though!

So if I listed playing hockey my entire life as one of my most meaningful experiences, it wouldn't be looked down upon even though most of my time playing occurred before college? I could maybe talk about being a captain and some of the awards I won?
