It's hard to advise in a vacuum, and we don't see what your "people" saw. There is some truth that we don't want you to lean on one description for an experience too hard. Are you able to adapt to the suggestion? I presume you would say yes if you are a strong applicant. In the end, it's your choice.

Understandable, yes I believe I can adapt to any suggestion. I just wanted to make sure that by removing my research as an MME that I would not be tossing up a major red flag for research-heavy schools, for example.

Are there secondary essay prompts that will provide opportunities for you to discuss research (within your list)?
