What class do you think is most memorable class during your college? Most useful class? The materials from what class do you remember the most? Do you guys forget things after the final??

For me, most memorable class is ochem because I had such a good professor. Most useful class is math because I use the info again and again in other classes.

honestly, i think my most memorable one was a philosophy class. just cuz i was so used to cranking out facts and stuff. and this really helped me sit back and think. one of the most useful classes i think... was this electrical engineering circuits class. it was a real big pain in the ass and super hard... but for some reason, i never looked at stuff the same way. like every day stuff. i dunno.

Anatomy (which I took from interest and thought would not be immediately useful) was incredibly helpful in everything from physiology to cell bio to math bio to immunology etc. Basically anything bio.

for me ecology and geology werent immediately applicable so I forgot a lot. Geology is still fun though. I have forgotten ecology. I did not like ecology.I do not like squirrels. I cannot help it. It is dull to me (*note "to me" NOT in general). Even population dynamics cant save it. Sorry malthus.

problematic behaviors in adolescences - not only did he have OPTIONAL papers and tests (except for the final), we got to read novels and watch movies like Pieces of April, Ghost World, and The Terrorist

next interesting my freshman english class about mystery stories.

most useful? G Chem supplementary class - mcmurry sucked. going to class on sunday night sucked but it was better than going to his lectures.

Statistical mechanics. It opened up my eyes about science in general and explained a lot of things like "what is entropy," "what is temperature," "why is the heat capacity of a monatomic gas 3R/2," etc. Great stuff!

Most memorable class: Art History. I had a fantastic professor! I almost thought about changing my major, but I was already a junior at that point and it was kinda too late.

Most useful one: Mam Physiology (that class alone would have been enough to prepare for the BS on the MCAT).

The class I don't remember anything about: Intro to Sociology... probably bec. I skipped most of the lectures. 😀

Most memorable: Egyptian Hieroglyphics

Not only because it was boatloads of fun and mountains of work, but because it was the first thing my interviewer asked me about during my interview. He was interested and I was happy to talk about it, ultimately giving me a great interview and my only acceptance. 🙂

Most useful: Honors Calculus I

I took this first quarter of my first year, and it was just the thing to make me realize that college was magnitudes harder than high school. It was hard enough to permanently warp my brain to think like a mathematician.

(there are so many more useful classes, but interestingly, none of them were the med pre-reqs...)
