Ok guys... i can totally relate to some of the ridiculous things nurses have called interns and residents about at 3 am... But as a current RN, and future MS1 in august.. i have a little rant...
today in the MICU, the respiratory therapist and i extubated a stable patient that i was taking care of... after primping him and making sure everything (O2 sat, breathing, etc) was legit, i leave the room...
as i leave, the intern walks into the room, looks at the patient for 10 seconds... then glances at the call bell about two feet away...she proceeds to walk out of the room and interupt me as im running into my other patient's room... who, mind you, is now bradying down to the 40's and is a full code.. she looks me in the eye and say "uh, we just extubated your guy, can you give him his call bell? thanx"
now theres someone i will remember NEVER to emulate when im an intern...
