Hey, I thought it would be fun to have a thread where everyone posted their most outlandish words, especially when taken out of context, that they actually submitted in some part of their AMCAS. Particularly in EC's and Personal Statement. Please, don't just make stuff up, only actual words used.

When I re-read my application the other day, it struck me that I actually used the words "sweetlips" and "grunts" (although in context they seemed to work).

As in ... "when I become a physician, I will be like kryptonite for illness."
Very cool.

I just remembered that I also used "Pigfish" in mine. Love me some pigfish.

I was almost certain before getting to pigfish that you were referring to fish.

I generally agree. There is a difference between someone sprinkling in bad words and using a less common word appropriately, but I would be willing to bet that the PS’s who have more than a couple “fancy” words are trying to sound smart and failing.
