This is reminding me of a game where Vis was yeeted, but I can't remember if it was BoWWnty Hunting or if it was a game where she was actually village getting misyeeted. I've not seen wolf!Vis use AtE like this.
The one I recall is BoWWnty Hunting

I guess, but I wouldn't ever use it for any sort of wolf hunting, tiny percentage or otherwise. There's too many games where it's not the case.
What rule do you use for wolfhunting that has a high success rate when used on its own?

It was BoWWnty. Also she didn't actually get yeeted because I got mad at mkg and moved my vote to her out of spite.
I’m still not caught up but this is probably the most disappointed and annoyed I’ve been at D1. @Animal Midwife I need to borrow your whip, people are trying to misyeet me for voting early and not giving someone a default village read for lowposting.
So I guess that's not as helpful as I thought because it's not actually a village!Vis thing to do either. It's, at best, NAI.

Feels like a more chaotic/experimental/curious/bold Z which I think of as characteristic of early game village Z
I also quoted this because @Viscernable, you've said this about Zenge in the past, can you articulate the difference in what you see here?

Why do you feel you need to follow rules for wolfhunting? I don't use rules for anything other than my own personal ones for who I'm willing to vote D1 in a given game.

It feels like he’s playing it more safe in his reads and not trying any fancy footwork. The closest being him holding his reads because he wanted to see if anyone would try to frame two players, which doesn’t really make sense to me and struck me as possibly acting like he has a grand plan because that’s what village!Z is known for

I think you’re getting hung up my use of “rule”. By rule I mean any basis for wolfhunting. From the definition I’m using, there would be no way to wolfhunt without using any rules whatsoever - eg “village Vis is more stretchy” or “wolves are more likely to seem to be deliberately misinterpetting things” or “villagers are more likely to vote for wolves”

Because it’s unfair to say that I can’t take something which I think has a very slim amount of usefulness in wolfhunting into a small amount of consideration. There is no one rule that is always correct. If that’s the bar any wolfhunting rules need to clear for it to be acceptable to use them, then we literally can’t play this game.

In any game, the chance of at least 1 in 5 random players being a wolf is pretty good, since generally 20-25% of players are, which very well could explain the Lupin Rule on its own.

And I'd like to think we try to use wolf-hunting methods that are a titch better than RNG.

Literally no one said that, so I don't really understand your attitude here tbh.

The rule was not met in 26.1% of games last year. Do with that what you will. You can make an argument that it drops to 21.7% if you want to count any exclusive scum as opposed to just strictly wolf. If you want to use it for wolf hunting, that's on you.

I’ve explained why I believe there is basis to it being better than random chance. I wouldn’t throw stones about wolfhunting accuracy since I’m your strongest wolf read atm.

So posting in the first 5 players is only factoring into your read of Zenge?

I feel like in BoWWling wolf!Vis got mad about being misyoten. Here she seems more sad/frustrated.
I don’t know why I decided to play this game again when every game it’s just “Vis is making stupid bad arguments. Always happens but I think they’re stupider than usual so vote Vis anyways” or “Vis is making stupid bad arguments, but they’re not stupid enough for village Vis so vote Vis anyways”
I feel this pain, but for the record I don't think anyone is saying you make bad arguments as any affiliation.

I'm starting to have that paranoid feeling of "what if the wolves are just ... not posting" because I've been staring at the posts of my POE members long enough now that I have managed to talk myself both into and out of 2 of them.

I think it's reasonable to assume at least one wolf is skulking in the lowposters. I still feel gross about both mayo and sunny but I guess you can't say anything suspicious if you aren't here.

Yeah, but also activity level is NAI.

Idk, I just feel a lot more stuck than I would have expected for it being D2. I feel pretty good about a couple of my village reads, and then pretty confused moving down the list. Guess I've gotten used to having the crutch of mechanics solving in other games.

Yes, I'm just stating it's hard to do anything with my read on either of them because they aren't providing any content.
Also, why can't village be stuck in games where I'm wolfing? 😡

Atm it’s not factoring much into any reads, as the fraction of a wolf point is further divided between 4 people of unknown aff. But if one of them is wolf, I would think Z.

This is one of those snap reads moments where I just don't feel like a wolf PSV would even think to say this

Where are you gonna vote when I flip village?

She's not even voting for you right now...?

I need to start being conservative with my posts, I think I have 30ish left before I hit the cap for today and have to shut up until 1 hour before close.

Unless that's what she wants me to think

Compile all the things you want to say into big posts. Like 10 posts per post.

This feels like an overreaction. No one is even voting for you rn, not even Vis, so suddenly jumping to thinking you're going to flip is... interesting.
I’m just asking if she’s going to continue down the “one of the first 5 posters has to be a wolf” road or if she’ll drop it after I flip village. I’m curious what her response is.

That's lame, she hadn't even played in a long time.

I don't want to go too far into NKA but I don't get Paws as the NK choice at all. Like shorty said, she hadn't played for a long time, and she was sort of in some people's POEs so I don't know why they wouldn't choose someone else.
I know that ship has sailed but... :beat:

Gonna echo that Paws was an odd choice, there was even a chance I was going to keep pushing her today. But picking an odd choice was probably the point, so I won't belabor it.

I agree with shorty on two key points:

1. I'd be shocked if there wasn't a wolf on Please.
2. I'd be shocked if all three of them were on her wagon.

A bit of dangerous circular logic, but shorty starting the Please wagon and then feeling bad about it and moving off feels very village to me.

This type of thing always pings me. Seems like an immediate effort to distance oneself from the kill.

But why are you flipping at all in this hypothetical scenario?

I’m curious, in the event that I’m dead and confirmed village, will Vissy continue to use Lupin Rule to try and push someone else, or will she drop it completely. That is the essence of my question.

Got it.

@supershorty I'm getting that you still have around 40 posts left before you hit the cap?
I had in the 60s yesterday, IIRC, so I'm estimating that I have until the 210s before AM tells me to shut my trap.

I have learned from this experience and will make a note of what number I'm actually at moving forward so it's not a guessing game.

I'm curious if you think you are equally bad at reading sunny or has this been a one way thing?
I'm total **** at reading sunny

I just searched myself in this thread in Threadloom and changed the time to "past day" so it includes today and yesterday for the cycle. You're at 106 currently.

Alternatively can change the dates to custom times if you're checking on the first half of a cycle. I'm very proud of myself for figuring that out 😆

Can you elaborate on what you mean?
Like here, I am just replying to your question "can you elaborate what you mean" by answering it. Or I could comment on it "hey that's a decent question."

Deeper analysis would be to wonder why you are asking, and not only ask "why" you are asking, but like come up with a clever way of getting you to reveal why.

I could say, "hey maybe Vis is just asking this question to make me sound sketchy" but if I really thought that was why you asked, maybe I could come up with some question or comment back to you that would get you to reveal more. I dont have a great example it's not really what I do so harder to even give an example.

Like maybe if I said "why don't you ask Dubz to elaborate on her Shorty read" might be this next level chess interrogation I'm referring to.

I think if I were better at keeping track of why susses who and why I could ask more qs meant to get at forcing packmate interactions or comments on each other which can be especially telling.

Like last game. Where I am less able to keep up on game specifics lik4 this I may only be able to offer food for thought on game play and hope it helps hunting
