Move PR schools to mainland allopathic forum

Hi all you PR hopefuls. I just sent a message to one of the SDN moderator's asking that PR schools be moved to the allopathic forum. lets see what happens.
Although we are in the Caribbean, PR schools have LCME and so we face similar issues as do the mainland US folks, which are different than the issues faced by other non LCME schools in the Caribbean.

Lets see what happens.

Does anyone know how to move this thread? I want to make sure folks aren't lost trying to access the information. I spoke to a moderator and she said it should be there if its allopathic.

it's not that it shouldn't be there and that's why its not. Its because the VAST majority of the pre allo posters are ignorant to PR school accreditation status and most of the post become inflammatory, mean, and raught with misinformation. You can definitely post there if you want, and past the link into one of these threads so people who come to the carib thread know where to go. It just ends up being frustrating for most, hence the URIM forum where less posts are about the inequality of the process and more of a space for free exchange of info w/o all the BS.

I am glad someone brought this up. There was an issue that just came up in another thread where the poster was apparently not aware of the difference between the PR schools and what we know as "caribbean schools".

This will prevent the misunderstandings.

don't forget to add your acceptances to the pre-allo acceptance threads...it's just as important for pre meds as med students to see representation there. It's not up to the mods to move the threads, we can create them where they belong.
