I am currently a movement fellow and am curious how to get training in movement specific electrophysiology/starting a movement lab for diagnosis of tremor, myoclonus, etc. My current program does not have a movement lab on site so I am not currently getting any training in this in fellowship. Is this something that's possible to learn in courses after fellowship or would I need a dedicated fellowship to learn it well enough? Thanks in advance!

Toronto Western offered a course 3 months ago on movement disorders neurophysiology. D.E. Systems - Closed | MyConference Suite

I was interested in it as a fellow and did have opportunities to learn about it through fellowship. However, you will find it very difficult to have insurance coverage for majority of the testing. Many of these testings are also very time consuming. Unless you are in a large academic practice where you are THE person for neurophysiology, you will have a difficult time doing it in clinical practice.

I would recommend reaching out to individual neurologists listed above to inquire about educational opportunities (such as away rotation as a fellow).
