Hello,
I am so glad to have found this forum..I am a neonatal nurse interested in further education (masters degree) but would prefer not to become a nurse practitioner. I think I would eventually like to work in research. I like how some MPH programs are. My question is, well, any thoughts on this? Does it make sense for a neonatal nurse to get her MPH (I really really want to stay in neonatal)? Thanks all. T.
I have been looking at Johns Hopkins. (what are their gre req?)

Sure, it makes sense. Do what you want. I work in general medicine now, and I don't want to be an NP either. I am getting my MSN/MBA from Hopkins. I am not sure how competitive it is to get in to the MPH, but I don't think it is too bad. The school is huge. Good luck!
