My original plan was to do research during the summer in Dermatology (I worked in the field before starting school - I like it but I wouldn't say I'm crazy about it but I can definitely see myself doing it for 30+ years. Nonetheless if this is the only field I end up liking I want to be prepared to match)
I have tried so hard to find research opportunities and get involved in this summer and it's just not working, so I was wondering if working as a medical assistant in Dermatology (what I did during my year off) is something I could put on my application when I'm ready to match? Will it even be beneficial to my app? The experience will definitely be beneficial to me as I learn something new everyday, just want to know if this is a good idea for increasing chances of securing a residency.
All feedback appreciated
