Your Assignment

For those of you MS3 students lucky enough to get Thanksgiving day off, here's what you should be doing at Thanksgiving to make up for your absence from the floors/ORs and further your education:

1) Rectal examination on the turkey before it goes into the oven. Yes, this includes guaiac testing.
2) Subcuticular stitches on the cooked turkey after Dad viciously stabs it.
3) Pimping Aunt Sally, Grandpa, and cousin Amanda on the particulars of cranberry sauce, green bean casserole, and pumpkin pie.

Please add to this list as I am sure I missed a few items.

Thank you for (in)attention.

My $46,000 bought that day (and the next 3) off! I'm going to try and get my BMI from 24 to 31 in 2 days.

Inaccurately criticize the main cook on a written evaluation after dinner, grading their hours of effort as a "HP", despite raving about the quality during the dinner.

Forcing family members to limit important stories to less than 5 minutes, while chiding them for not following a storytelling format that you arbitrarily decided was the best.
