MSAR Matriculated vs Accepted Stats

Should we only take accepted stats into account? Or should we also acknowledge matriculated stats?

For example, someone's MCAT could be less than the 10th percentile for Accepted students at a school, but that MCAT score would be 25th percentile for matriculated students at that school. If 1/4th of a class has stats similar to your own, wouldn't that be worth applying to even if you are below the 10th percentile range?

There is plenty of slosh in this year's MSAR regarding median MCAT stats.
Depending on the number of "old" MCATs in any class, the denominator has given a somewhat different picture of the competitiveness of any individual school.
I recommend going with accepted stats.

Use accepted. You're trying to figure out where you're competitive to get offered a seat, not trying to figure out how you'd compare to the other matriculants if you chose to go there.
