In the selection factors section of the MSAR book, the "mean GPA" is included for most schools. Does this refer to the mean GPA from the AMCAS application, or the mean GPA after the applicant graduates and receives his/her degree?
Right, it's the AMCAS gpa you have at the time of application. Also, the mean GPAs the MSAR gives you are for accepted applicants, not matriculants. So, take them with a grain of salt, and realize that they are just averages. 🙂 Matriculants probably have lower average GPAs than accepted applicants overall.....right?
