I think the GE fits the bill. My machine can do a ton of stuff that is beyond my scope, great images. It's also expensive. If I were in PP, there's no way I'd pony up the cost for this machine. It's also bulky compared to the sonosite I used previously. No other significant complaints.

What model GE are you using

I'm being told to make sure I order a hockey stick probe but that a portable US is probably adequate for my needs.

I'm mostly interested in things like SGBs and if possible, genicular nerves.

I got a Sonosite Edge II a few months back. It’s pretty good. I like it far more than my old Terason.

I have used that system in training and it was really nice. I imagine it is quite pricey for private practice, though. Can I ask if you bought it or if it is hospital owned?

So we have GE and Sonosite. Any other good ones? Hospital budget is about 35k.

Just got access to borrow a Sonosite Edge 1 (not touch screen) to start getting acclimated with. Has two probes - 2-5 MHz and 6-13 MHz. Is this only good enough for larger msk structures and easy to identify peripheral nerves?
