I don't think that comment is harmful to your app. IMO you are overthinking this, he's just saying your confidence will improve with experience, which is true for every med student. Especially when coming from a field unrelated to what you're applying to. If this is the worst comment on your dean's letter, you are fine.

Thanks, for the reassurance. I think I'm just getting worried as each day goes by without an interview invite and I try to focus on the worst outcomes lol.
