Hi,

I just got email from MSU CHM that they want my letters of references. I am sending them out via interfolio. I just want to find out if anyone else got that email too, and how much time after that email do people usually get interview calls.

Thanks
Piyush.

Piyush,

I got the same email in August, and still waiting to hear from them about an interview. So to answer your question, "how much time after that email?" it really all depends on how much they like your application. Good luck.

Ditto. I got the email in July and haven't heard back since. Yet others have had a quick turnaround with them. I guess you'll just have to join the rest of us who are (im)patiently waiting.

I got that email back in late August and heard back about an interview about a month later. They ask for letters of reference for those they are seriously considering for an interview, so take it as a good sign. I still haven't heard anything in regards to a final decision though. MSU doesn't frontload their admissions like other schools, so don't worry if you haven't heard anything yet. Best of luck to all of you who are still waiting.

This was posted on a previous thread from someone who interviewed at MSU:

4,000-5,000 secondaries. 1,000 get asked for LORs. 400 get interviews for the 150
seats.
